Bandwidth Usage

You can configure the bandwidth used for updating the Sophos agent software on your endpoint computers.

Restriction

This setting is for Windows computers only.

Go to Global Settings > Bandwidth Usage.

Currently the default bandwidth limit is 256 Kbps.

You can specify a custom bandwidth limit or unlimited bandwidth.

You can set a low limit to ensure that updates don't cause computers to run slowly.

Note

You can't limit bandwidth for an initial installation. However, you can reduce it by installing from an Update Cache, rather than directly from Sophos. See Manage Update Caches and Message Relays.

Note

The bandwidth limit doesn't apply to updates downloaded from an Update Cache.
