Change Azure AD source configuration

This feature might not be available for all customers yet.

You can change the name and description of a source. You can also change the configuration settings, filters, and synchronization schedule.

You must turn on synchronization for your changes to take effect. When you turn on synchronization, you can't revert your changes.

For more information on using Azure AD filters see Filter users and groups.

For more information on configuring your directory source see Set up synchronization with Azure AD.

To make changes, do as follows:

  1. Go to Global Settings > Directory service.
  2. Click the name of the source.

    Azure AD Edit mode

  3. Click Turn off.

  4. Make your changes. You can revert your changes or make additional changes until you turn synchronization on again.

    • Click Save to save any updates.
    • Click Revert to remove your updates.

This reverts any changes made since the directory source was last active.

  5. Click Turn on.

Your changes take effect the next time you synchronize with Azure AD.
