Assign a VPN connection to an iPhone or iPad app

When you assign a VPN connection to an iPhone or iPad app, the app uses that connection for all of its network communication.

Requirement

You have created one or more device policies with a Per app VPN configuration. See Per app VPN configuration (iOS device policy) and Per app VPN configuration (iOS user policy).

To assign a VPN connection to an app:

  1. On the menu sidebar, click Apps > iOS & iPadOS.
  2. On the Apps page, click the required app.
  3. Click Show next to Settings and VPN.

  4. In VPN connection used by the app, select a VPN configuration.

    The list contains Per app VPN configurations of all device policies.

  5. On the Edit settings and VPN page, click Apply.

  6. Click Save.
