Enroll Intercept X for Mobile with a static QR code

You can enroll Intercept X for Mobile with Sophos Mobile using the same QR code for all your Android devices, iPhones, and iPads.

Because the QR code doesn’t contain information about a Sophos Mobile user, devices enrolled with it don’t have a user assigned. You can assign a user after enrollment. See Assign a user to a device.

Restriction

You can’t enroll Intercept X for Mobile with a static QR code if you’ve configured Intune Mobile Threat Defense as described in Set up Mobile Threat Defense.

Requirement

You must configure Intercept X for Mobile enrollment. See Configure Intercept X for Mobile enrollment.

Get QR code

To get the QR code for enrolling Intercept X for Mobile on any Android device, iPhone, or iPad with Sophos Mobile, do as follows:

  1. In Sophos Central, go to Mobile.
  2. Click Setup > Sophos setup on the menu sidebar, then click the Intercept X tab.
  3. Under QR code enrollment, click Print to print the QR code.
  4. Give the QR code to the user who wants to enroll Intercept X for Mobile on their device.

Enroll device

To enroll Intercept X for Mobile with Sophos Mobile, users must do as follows on their devices:

  1. Search for the Sophos Intercept X for Mobile app in Google Play or Apple App Store and install it.
  2. Open the app.
  3. Follow the instructions of the setup assistant.
  4. Tap Corporate management.
  5. Under Enroll with Sophos Mobile, tap Enroll.
  6. Tap Scan QR code.
  7. Grant the app all permissions it requests.
  8. Scan the QR code with the device’s camera.

The device enrolls with Sophos Mobile using the settings you configured in the connection code. See Configure Intercept X for Mobile enrollment.
