Sophos Mobile Control is being renamed Sophos Mobile Device Management, and Sophos Intercept X for Mobile is being renamed Sophos Mobile Threat Defense. The iOS apps are already available with the new names. The Android apps will be available in early 2027. Shut down device

You can remotely shut down supervised iPhones and iPads.

To shut down a device, do as follows:

  1. On the menu sidebar, click Devices.
  2. On the Devices page, click the arrow next to the device and then click Show.
  3. On the Show device page, click Actions > Shut down.
  4. Click Yes in the confirmation dialog.

Sophos Mobile sends the device a command to shut down. The device shuts down immediately without user confirmation.
