Set health status manually

If required, you can manually override a device’s health status. For example if you know a device has a security issue, you can set its health status to Red regardless of its compliance status.

Requirement

You’ve turned on Synchronized Security in Sophos Mobile.

To set the health status of a device:

  1. On the menu sidebar, click Devices.
  2. Click the device name.
  3. On the Show device page, click Actions > Set health status.
  4. Select a health status.

Sophos Mobile reports the device’s health status to Sophos Wireless. Depending on your Sophos Wireless configuration, network access is restricted.

To revert to automatic calculation of health status on the basis of the device’s compliance status, set the health status to Auto mode.

Tip

To set the health status of several devices at once, select them on the Devices page and click Actions > Set health status.
