Import Apple configuration profiles

You can import Apple configuration profiles you downloaded from Sophos Central, created in Apple Configurator, or obtained from trusted third-party sources.

You assign configuration profiles to your iPhones, iPads, and Macs in the same way you assign policies created in Sophos Mobile. See Assign a policy.

Restriction

You can’t import encrypted configuration profiles.

To import a configuration profile, do as follows:

  1. Go to Policies > iOS & iPadOS or macOS.
  2. Select Create > Import policy.
  3. Enter a name and a description.

  4. Select Upload a file and then select the file containing the configuration profile.

    Configuration profile files end in .mobileconfig.

  5. On the Import policy page, select Save.

Sophos Mobile adds the profile to your policies on the Policies - iOS & iPadOS or Policies - macOS page.
