Uninstall policy

Restriction

You can only uninstall the following policies from a device:

  • Android device policies
  • Knox container policies
  • iOS device policies

For other policies, either update the policy or assign a different one.

You uninstall a policy from a device to remove the settings applied by the policy.

For details, see the following sections.

Uninstall policy from one device

To uninstall a policy from one device, do as follows:

  1. On the menu sidebar, click Devices.
  2. Select a device name.
  3. Select the Policies tab.
  4. Select Uninstall.

Uninstall policy from several devices

To uninstall a policy from several devices at once, do as follows:

  1. Create a task bundle with an Uninstall policy task.
  2. Transfer the task bundle to the required devices or device groups.

Uninstall policy from all devices

To uninstall a policy from all devices that have it assigned, do as follows:

  1. On the menu sidebar, select Policies and then select a device platform.
  2. Click the blue triangle next to the policy you want to uninstall.
  3. Select Unassign.
