Configure device assignment

You can configure what happens to a device when the assigned user is deleted.

  1. On the menu sidebar, click Setup > Sophos setup, and then click the User setup tab.
  2. Under Device assignment, select one of the following options:

    • Unassign user from device: The user assignment is removed. The device status is not changed.
    • Delete device: The device is deleted from Sophos Mobile.

      Note

      When you delete a device that's still enrolled with Sophos Mobile, it unenrolls itself the next time it synchronizes with Sophos Mobile. However, this doesn't apply to Windows computers. When you delete an enrolled Windows computer, you must manually unenroll it, or reset it to its factory settings if Forbid manual MDM unenrollment is turned on in the device policy.

    • Unenroll device: The device is unenrolled from Sophos Mobile. The device status is changed to Unenrolled.

  3. Click Save.
