Mass-enroll Android Enterprise devices

With the Sophos NFC Provisioning app you mass-enroll Android Enterprise fully managed devices with Sophos Mobile.

Restriction Enrollment through NFC is not supported by Android 10 and later.

Prerequisites:

To enroll devices through NFC:

  1. Install the Sophos NFC Provisioning app from Google Play on a device that has NFC. This is the master device.
  2. In the Sophos NFC Provisioning app, configure the following settings:
    • Connection details of your corporate Wi-Fi network.
    • Time zone and language for the new devices.
    • Optional: The URL of the Self Service Portal.
    • Optional: Skip device encryption.
    • Optional: Skip vendor-specific setup.
    • Optional: Enable system apps.

If you turn this on, all apps pre-installed by the manufacturer are enabled.

If you turn this off, only these apps are enabled: Google Play Store, Contacts, Messages, Phone. Google recommends this for Android Enterprise fully managed devices.

  3. Tap Ready for transfer and then hold the master device and the device to enroll back to back with the NFC sensors aligned.
The device is set up and enrolled with Sophos Mobile.
To enroll additional devices, tap Ready for transfer again.
