Activate your Sophos Secure Message account
You must activate your account before you can read and reply to secure emails in Sophos Secure Message.
The first time someone sends you an email using Portal Encryption, you receive an email with instructions on how to activate your Sophos Secure Message. When you've activated your account, you can sign in to read and reply to encrypted emails.
The activation link expires on the date specified in the email.

You can change the questions and create your own. To do this, click the down arrow next to one of the questions.
If you forget your password, the answers to these questions are used to prove your identity.
-
Enter an Alternate Email Address for password recovery.
If you've set at least one question and answer, this step is optional.
-
Click Activate.
Sophos Secure Message opens, and you can read your email.
When someone sends you another encrypted email, you receive an email in your usual email software with a link to Sophos Secure Message. Click this to sign in and read your email.
For security reasons, if you enter an incorrect username or password three times, you'll be locked out of your account. If this happens, you must contact the organization that sent you the encrypted email.
