User Activity Verification

The User Activity Verification API lets you request information from users on their mobile devices. You can send a question with a list of potential answers to a user's Android device, iPhone, or iPad. The user responds to the question by selecting one of the answers.

User Activity Verification also makes it possible for admins to get an automatic mobile notification if there’s a critical attack on their systems. You must have it turned on for these notifications to work. See Attack Details.

Requirements

You can only send questions or notifications to devices on which Sophos Intercept X for Mobile is installed and enrolled with Sophos Central.

User Activity Verification status

The User Activity Verification API is available to all Sophos Central customers. You can disable it to prevent API calls. When disabled, all API calls will return the 403 Forbidden HTTP status.

To disable the User Activity Verification API, do as follows:

  1. Go to My Products > General Settings > User Activity Verification.
  2. Turn off User Activity Verification.
