Import mailboxes

Sophos Email Security allows you to import mailboxes in bulk.

Show me how

To import mailboxes, do as follows:

  1. Create your import .csv file using the following format:

    Name Email Address Type
    Robert Alamar robert.alamar@test.com User
    Support DL support@test.com DL
    Vacation Calendar vacation@test.com PF

    Note

    You can also export mailboxes from the anti-spam policy in Microsoft 365 and import them into Sophos Email Security. For more information, see How to Export Allow Sender domain email and Block Sender domain email from AntiSpam policy in O365.

  2. Go to My Products > Email Protection > Mailboxes to view and manage your mailboxes.

  3. Click Add and select Import Mailboxes & Aliases.
  4. Click Browse and go to your import file.

  5. Click Add to start the import process.

    The import will run and show results after it's complete.

To verify mailbox creation, you can search for new users in People or browse the list of mailboxes under the Mailboxes section for Distribution Lists and Public Folders.
