Delete mailboxes

You can delete mailboxes from Sophos Email.

Warning

If you delete a mailbox, it removes all data associated with that mailbox. Make sure to back up any important data before proceeding.

Note

If a mailbox was created through directory synchronization, you can't delete it from Sophos Email. To delete a synced mailbox, update the directory sync filter to exclude it or delete it from the directory source.

To delete a mailbox, do as follows:

  1. In Sophos Central, go to My Products > Email Protection > Mailboxes.
  2. Select a mailbox.
  3. Click Delete.
  4. In the confirmation dialog, click Delete.

The mailbox is deleted.
