Add Internal VIPs

Sophos Email allows you to add internal VIPs that you want to protect from impersonation in inbound emails.

To add an internal VIP, do as follows:

  1. In Sophos Central, go to My Products > Email Protection > Business Email Compromise > Impersonation.
  2. On your VIP management list, click Add VIP.
  3. Select Add VIPs.
  4. Make sure Internal VIPs is selected.
  5. Enter the name or email address of the internal VIP you want to add.
  6. Click Save.

The internal VIP is added to the VIP management list.

Find your internal VIPs

If you need suggestions for internal VIPs to add, go to My Products > Email Protection > Business Email Compromise > Impersonation, then click Help find internal VIPs.

The Help find internal VIPs feature searches a connected Active Directory (AD) service for high-risk users. The more information you've added to your AD entries, such as job titles, the better the results are.

In the dialog, you can search for the internal VIPs you want to add and click Add.
