Import and export VIPs

You can easily import and export VIPs in Sophos Central to manage your email impersonation protection. Use the import feature to add multiple VIPs at once, and the export feature to download and update your VIP list as needed.

Import VIPs

If you have many VIPs to add, we recommend that you use the import feature. You can also download template files that show the import list format.

To import your VIP list, do as follows:

1. In Sophos Central, go to My Products > Email Protection > Business Email Compromise > Impersonation.
2. On your VIP management list, click Add VIP.
3. Select Import VIPs.
4. Download the template files.

5. Create your import list in the same format as the template.

   When you create your import list, make sure you meet the following requirements:

   • The total number of entries must not exceed 1000.
   • The CSV file must be UTF-8 encoded.
   • The internal VIP entries must include only email addresses.
   • The external VIP entries must include both the name and email address.

6. When you've finished creating your file, return to Import VIP list and click Browse.

7. Find and select your file.

   Warning

   If you select Replace existing list with this import, Sophos Central will permanently remove all current entries in the list. Be cautious to avoid accidental data loss.

   

8. Click Import.

Your VIP list is imported.

Export VIPs

The export feature lets you easily extract your impersonation list in CSV format. You can update the data in the exported file and use it for a new import or use it for further analysis.

You can either export selected VIPs or the entire VIP list.
