User Activity Verification

The User Activity Verification API lets you request information from users on their mobile devices. You can send a question with a list of potential answers to a user's Android device, iPhone, or iPad. The user responds to the question by selecting one of the answers.

User Activity Verification also makes it possible for admins to get an automatic mobile notification if there’s a critical attack on their systems. You must have it turned on for these notifications to work. See Attack Details.

Requirements

You can only send questions or notifications to devices on which Sophos Intercept X for Mobile is installed and enrolled with Sophos Central.

For details on how to use the User Activity Verification API, see User Activity Verification API Guide.

For details on how to manage mobile devices with Sophos Central, see the following:

Turn on User Activity Verification

You must turn on the User Activity Verification API in Sophos Central Admin to send API requests to your devices. Otherwise, all requests give a 403 Forbidden response status.

To turn on the User Activity Verification API, do as follows:

  1. Go to My Products > General Settings > User Activity Verification.
  2. Turn on User Activity Verification.
