Auto-enrollment
You can automatically enroll new users into your campaigns and campaign series.
When you turn on auto-enrollment for a campaign or series, any new users you add to your Sophos Central account are enrolled in that campaign or series.
For example you can automatically enroll your new hires in a mandatory security training campaign.
How does auto-enrollment work?
New users start campaigns at different points, depending on the type of campaign or series.
Standalone campaigns
For a standalone phishing, credential harvesting, attachment, or training campaign, new users are enrolled in the campaign straight away. The first campaign email is sent to these users 24 hours later. The campaign remains active until you end it manually.
Campaign series
For a simulated attack series, new users are enrolled in the next campaign generated by the series. They aren't enrolled in campaigns that have already begun.
For a security training campaign series, new users are enrolled in every training campaign in the series. They always start with the first campaign in the series.
Training series
For a training series, you can add users at varying points in the series. While all enrolled users will start with the first course in the training series, the length of time before the first training email arrives may vary.
For example, if a training course is scheduled to start on January 1, but a new user is enrolled in the series on January 15, the training course email arrives on February 1 for the new user.
The table below shows an example of how the start dates of two training courses are phased. The first training course is set to start on January 1, while the second training course is set to start on February 1.
User | Date enrolled | Training course 1 | Training course 2 |
---|---|---|---|
Sample user 1 | January 1 | Received on January 1 | Received on February 1 |
Sample user 2 | January 15 | Received on February 1 | Received on March 1 |
Sample user 3 | February 17 | Received on March 1 | Received on April 1 |
