General settings

You can use the general settings page to configure the following settings:

Option Description
Status

Not set: Qos isn't configured.

Enabled: Turn on QoS.

Disabled: Turn off QoS.

Scheduling method

Not set: The scheduling method isn't configured.

Strict priority: Set traffic scheduling based strictly on the queue priority.

WRR: Use the Weighted Round Robin (WRR) algorithm to handle packets in priority classes of service. It assigns WRR weights to queues.

Queue weights Set the priority for each of the eight work queues. The available values are 0 to 128, with 128 being the highest priority.
Trust mode

DSCP: Classify traffic based on the DSCP (Differentiated Services Code Point) tag value.

802.1p: Classify traffic based on 802.1p. The eight priority tags specified in IEEE 802.1p are from 1 to 8.

CoS mapping

Use the class of service (CoS) mapping feature to specify which traffic is mapped to the corresponding CoS value. CoS allows you to specify which data packets have precedence when traffic is buffered due to congestion.

You can select CoS mapping using the drop-down menu to select the queue.

DSCP mapping

Use the differentiated services code point (DSCP) mapping feature to specify which internal traffic class to map to the corresponding DSCP values. DSCP mapping increases the number of definable priority levels by reallocating bits of an IP packet for prioritization purposes.
