Policies

Create per-protocol QoS policies to be applied to traffic on a per-port or per-VLAN basis.

To create a new policy, do as follows:

  1. Click Add policy.
  2. Enter a name for the policy.
  3. Enter the following match criteria.

    Note

    If any of the match criteria fields aren't specified, they're treated as "any".

    Option Description
    Destination MAC address Enter the destination MAC address that traffic will be sent to.
    Source MAC address Enter the source MAC address that traffic will be sent from.
    Source IP address Enter the source IP address that traffic will be sent from.
    Source subnet mask The subnet mask for the network in which the source IP address is located.
    Destination IP address Enter the destination IP address that traffic will be sent to.
    Destination subnet mask The subnet mask for the network in which the destination IP address is located.
    VLAN Select the VLAN to which the policy should be applied from the drop-down list.
    VLAN priority Select the VLAN priority from the drop-down list.
    Ethernet type Enter the ethernet type. The available values are 0x0600 to 0xFFFF.
    Service type The service type. The available values are 0 to 63.
    Protocol Select the protocol from the drop-down list. If the protocol you want isn't shown, select Custom then enter the protocol number in the box that appears. The protocol number options are 0 to 255.
    Action Choose the action. The available options are None, Set 802.1p and Set DSCP.
  4. Click Save

Binding

When configured, the policy will show in the policies table. You can then assign the policy to a specific port using the drop-down list.
