SSIDs

Configure and manage your Service Set Identifiers (SSIDs).

SSIDs are unique identifiers for wireless networks. They differentiate one WLAN from another. Multiple access points within a network can use the same SSID to broadcast the same network. You can also have multiple SSIDs on an access point. This allows you to have SSIDs with different bands or other configurations like separate guest networks or a mesh network.

Go to My Products > Wireless > SSIDs to manage your SSIDs.

You can see the following information about your SSIDs:

  • SSID: The name of the SSID.
  • Encryption mode: The encryption mode that's configured for the SSID.
  • Bands: The frequency bands the SSID is broadcasting on.
  • Type: Shows whether the SSID is configured for APX or AP6 access points and whether or not the SSID is a mesh network.
  • Status: Shows whether the SSID is turned on or turned off.
  • Assigned Access point: Shows how many access points the SSID is assigned to.
  • Security HeartbeatTM: This shows whether Security HeartbeatTM is turned on or off for the SSID.
  • Captive portal: Shows whether or not the SSID has a captive portal configured.
  • Clone: Shows the Clone for AP6 button for APX SSIDs. It lets you create an SSID for AP6 access points using the same settings as the selected APX SSID.

You can use the drop-down list to show APX, AP6, Mesh, or All SSIDs.

To delete SSIDs, select the SSIDs you want to delete and click Delete.

Click an SSID to see its settings and the devices connected to it. See the following pages:
