Scan device

The new Sophos Mobile pages in Sophos Central might not be available for all customers yet.

Requirement

  • This feature requires a Mobile Advanced or Intercept X for Mobile license.

You can run a scan for malware on Android devices where Sophos Mobile manages Sophos Intercept X for Mobile.

To do this, do as follows:

  1. Go to Devices > Mobile devices and click the name of the device you want to scan.
  2. On the device's details page, click Actions > Scan for malware.

    If Scan for malware isn't available, check that Sophos Intercept X for Mobile is installed on the device and managed by Sophos Mobile.

Sophos Mobile sends a task to scan the device to Sophos Intercept X for Mobile. To see the task status, click Open in Sophos Mobile and go to the Tasks tab.

You can see the latest scan results on the Scan results tab of the device's details page. Click a threat name to show additional information from SophosLabs. See Scan results.
