Create a template

You can create a global template.

To create a global template, do as follows:

1. Click the Settings and policies icon , and then click Global templates.
2. Click Add template.

3. On the Add global template page, do as follows:

   1. Enter a template name.
   2. (Optional) Enter a description for the template.
   3. Click Save.

4. Click Edit sub-estates.

5. On the Edit sub-estates page, do as follows:

   1. Under Available managed sub-estates, select the sub-estates you want to apply this global template to and use the picker arrow to add them to the Assigned sub-estates list.
   2. Click Save.

6. Click Global settings and manage the settings you want to change.

7. Click Base policies and select the base policies you want to change, and then click Save.

8. Click Push to sub-estates, and then click Push to confirm. See Push a template.

   You need to push the template to your sub-estates. Changes take effect after you have pushed the template.

All assigned sub-estates have their base policies and global settings locked in Sophos Central Admin.
