Upgrade to managed Google domain

If you registered your organization with Android Enterprise in Managed Google Play Account mode, you can upgrade it to managed Google domain.

With a managed Google domain, Android Enterprise administration is tied to your organization's work domain and Google Admin console rather than a single Gmail account.

To upgrade your Managed Google Play Account registration mode to managed Google domain, do as follows:

  1. In Sophos Fusion, go to My Products > Mobile.
  2. Go to Setup > Google setup and open the Android Enterprise tab.

  3. Click Upgrade to managed Google domain.

    You're redirected to a Google portal where you can create a managed Google domain and bind it to Sophos Mobile. If you already have a managed Google domain, you can use that.

  4. After completing the upgrade steps, come back to Sophos Mobile.

  5. Refresh the Sophos Mobile page.
  6. Check that Android Enterprise mode shows Managed Google domain.
  7. Check that Description shows the admin account that you used to register the managed Google domain, and edit it if required.
