Management port

You can select MGMT Port to change the network settings for the management interface.

You can change the network setting from DHCP to static, and enter the details of a web proxy server.

IP address configuration

By default, the VA uses DHCP.

To specify a manual IP address, do as follows:

  1. Select Manual and press Enter.
  2. Select IP/CIDR. Enter the address for the MGMT interface, followed by the subnet mask in CIDR format. For example 10.100.4.253/24. See CIDR notation.
  3. Select Gateway. Enter the address of the gateway or router for the subnet.
  4. Select DNS1. Enter the address of the primary DNS server. For example 8.8.8.8.
  5. Select DNS2. Enter the address of the optional secondary DNS server. For example 8.8.4.4.

  6. If you need to set up a web proxy server, go to Web proxy configuration.

  7. If you aren't setting up a web proxy, select Save and press enter.

    If you don't want to save your changes, select Back to Home.

  8. If the configuration is successful, the Home screen appears.

    If it's unsuccessful, you see an error. Resolve the issue and try again.

Web proxy configuration

If you use a web proxy to access the internet, add the server's credentials.

To do this, do as follows:

  1. Select Enable Web Proxy and press enter.
  2. Select Proxy URL and add the internal IP address or URL of the proxy server.
  3. Select Port Number and add the port number.
  4. If your web proxy server uses authentication enter the Username and Password.

  5. Select Save and press enter.

    If you don't want to save your changes, select Back to Home.

  6. If the configuration isn't successful, you see an error. Resolve the issue and try again.

  7. If the configuration is successful, the VA reboots.

    You're asked to confirm the reboot.
