Update billing type
You can convert customer trial accounts or update customer termed accounts to monthly usage accounts by updating their billing type.
Converting trial accounts ends all product trials for that account.
Restriction
You must be a Managed Service Provider (MSP) Flex partner to create a monthly usage account.
Update billing type for trial accounts
You can update the billing type for trial accounts to monthly usage accounts. To do this, do as follows:
- Click Customers.
- In the Name & Details column, select the customer with a trial account you want to convert.

Click Update Billing.

Confirm that you want to update the billing type for the account.
The selected trial account is now converted to a monthly usage account.

Update billing type for termed accounts
You can update the billing type for termed accounts to monthly usage accounts. To do this, do as follows:
- Click My Business > Customers.

In the Name & Details column, select the customer with a termed account you want to convert.

Click Update Billing.

On the Update Billing Type page, select the confirmation checkbox to update the account's billing type immediately.

Click Next.

Select the license types you want to update.

Click Next.

Select the Endpoint and Server products you want to update.

Click Next. Make sure the product selections are correct.
- Click Save.
The selected termed account is now converted to a monthly usage account.
Update billing type for monthly accounts
You can update the billing type for monthly usage accounts to termed account. To do this, do as follows:
- Click My Business > Customers.
- In the Name & Details column, select the customer with a monthly account you want to convert.
- Click Update Billing.
- On the Update Billing Type page, enter the license key for the account.

Click Next.

Click Confirm to update the account's billing type.
The selected monthly usage account is now converted to a termed account.
