Open a password-protected document file

To open a password-protected document file, do as follows:

  1. Open the email you've received.
  2. Download the password-protected document file.

  3. Open the password-protected document file.

    Your document viewer opens, and a password prompt appears.

  4. Enter your password.

You can now read the message.

Note

The password for an encrypted document file is permanent. For example, to open a document that was encrypted on October 12, 2018, you must enter the password you were using on that date.
