Push Encryption

The email you received contains password-protected email attachments and may also include the email message in a PDF file. These files require the password you registered to open.

If the email body or attachments are included in the secured document, they're encrypted using the same password. If attachments were already encrypted before sending, they remain unchanged.

Depending on the format of the original file, attachments may be delivered as a combination of PDF, Microsoft Office, and ZIP files. The email body contains information on how to open your files.

To open an encrypted email, you need a document viewer such as Adobe Reader and your password. For password information, see Sophos Secure Message passwords.

When you've opened an encrypted email in your document viewer, you can send a secure reply.
