Uninstall Sophos Endpoint

You can uninstall Sophos Endpoint from the computer or server.

If tamper protection is turned on, you need the tamper protection password before you can uninstall Sophos Endpoint. The password is available from the Sophos Central administrator.

For uninstallation instructions, click the tab for your operating system.

You can uninstall Sophos Endpoint by using the user interface or by using a command prompt.

Both methods run the same uninstaller.

Uninstall Sophos Endpoint using the user interface

To uninstall Sophos Endpoint, do as follows:

  1. Sign in to the computer or server using an admin account.
  2. Go to C:\Program Files\Sophos\Sophos Endpoint Agent
  3. Double-click SophosUninstall.exe

Alternatively, go to Settings > Apps (on Windows 10) and uninstall Sophos Endpoint there.

Uninstall Sophos Endpoint using a command prompt

To uninstall Sophos Endpoint, do as follows:

  1. Open a command prompt as an administrator.
  2. Enter cd C:\Program Files\Sophos\Sophos Endpoint Agent\
  3. Run SophosUninstall.exe with any required parameters.

    • --quiet runs the uninstaller silently.
    • --language=<LanguageID>sets the language in which the uninstaller runs.

      The LanguageID is the standard decimal or hexadecimal code for the language. Make sure you use the same language that was used for installation.

To uninstall Sophos Endpoint from the Mac, do as follows:

  1. Open Launchpad.
  2. Find the Remove Sophos Endpoint icon and click it.
