Add work documents

You can upload work documents to Sophos Mobile to make them available to your users.

Restriction

This feature requires a Mobile Advanced license.

Users can access work documents from the Work documents storage provider in their Sophos Secure Workspace app.

Sophos Mobile must manage Sophos Secure Workspace, that is, you must assign a Sophos container policy with a Work documents configuration to the device.

Work documents are read-only.

To add a work document, do as follows:

  1. On the menu sidebar, under CONFIGURE, click Documents.
  2. On the Documents page, click Add > Add document.
  3. Configure the following settings:

    Setting Description
Name The name of the document in Sophos Secure Workspace.
Category The category folder of the Work documents storage provider to which Sophos Secure Workspace adds the document.

If you don’t enter a category, Sophos Secure Workspace adds the document to the Work documents root folder.

Copy to clipboard Users can copy the document to the clipboard.
Share document Users can share the document.

When the user shares an encrypted document, Sophos Secure Workspace decrypts it before sending it to the other app.

Use document offline Users can add the document to the Favorites list.

When a user adds a document to the Favorites list, Sophos Secure Workspace creates an encrypted, local copy.

If you clear this check box and a user has already added the document to the Favorites list, Sophos Secure Workspace deletes the local copy on the next sync.

Assigned groups The device groups that can access the document.
Description A description of the document in Sophos Secure Workspace.
  4. Click Upload a file and then select the document file.

  5. Click Save.

To make the document available to users, assign the policy to devices.
