Web content filter configuration (macOS device policy)

The Web content filter configuration lets you filter web pages in Safari and other WebKit-based browsers via a third-party app that provides a filtering service.

Setting Description
Filter name A custom name for the filter configuration.
Filter ID The bundle ID of the third-party app.
Server The name, IP address, or URL of the server that hosts the filtering service.
Organization The name of your organization, if required by the filtering service.
User name The username for connecting to the filtering service.
Password The password for connecting to the filtering service.
Certificate The certificate for authenticating to the filtering service.
Filter range The traffic to be filtered (WebKit browser traffic, socket traffic, or both).
Third-party settings Additional settings, if required by the filtering service.
