Sophos Mobile Self Service Portal actions let users manage their devices. You set the available actions in a Self Service Portal configuration.

Action Description
Locate device Locate a device if it’s lost or stolen.

Applies to:

  • iPhones, iPads (except for Apple User Enrollment)

Lock device Lock a device if it’s lost or stolen.

Applies to:

  • Android devices
  • iPhones, iPads
  • Macs
Reconfigure device Reconfigure the Sophos Mobile Control app, for example if the user uninstalled it accidentally.

Show compliance violations For non-compliant devices, show violation details.

Applies to:

Refresh data Synchronize a device with the Sophos Mobile server.

Depending on your compliance policy, devices might become non-compliant when they don’t synchronize regularly, for example when they are switched off for a long time. If this happens, users can perform this action to make the device compliant again.

Doesn’t apply to devices on which Sophos Mobile only manages the Sophos container.

Reset password Reset the lock screen password.

For Android devices, iPhones, and iPads, Sophos Mobile sets a one-time password. After the user has unlocked the device, they must change the password.

For Android Enterprise work profile devices, the work profile’s password is reset.

For iPhones and iPads, Sophos Mobile deletes the password. The user must set a new password within 60 minutes.

Wipe Reset a device to its factory settings if it’s lost or stolen.

All data on the device is deleted.

Wipe Android work profile Remove the work profile from a device. This also unenrolls the device from Sophos Mobile.

Applies to Android devices.

Unenroll device Unenroll a device from Sophos Mobile.

Delete unmanaged device Delete a device from Sophos Mobile.

Reset App Protection password Reset the App Protection password.

Users must enter this password to use apps you’ve defined as protected.

Applies to Android devices.

Reset Sophos container password Reset the Sophos container password.

Users must enter this password to use the Sophos container apps Sophos Secure Email and Sophos Secure Workspace.

Reconfigure the SMC app Reconfigure an already installed Sophos Mobile Control app.

Managed Lost Mode Turn Managed Lost Mode on or off.
