Uninstall Sophos Protection for Linux

You can uninstall Sophos Protection for Linux (SPL) from your Linux device using the built-in uninstall script.

To uninstall Sophos Protection for Linux, do as follows:

  1. Go to /opt/sophos-spl/bin.

  2. Run the uninstaller with the following command:

    ./uninstall.sh

  3. Run the following commands to complete the uninstallation:

    rmdir /sys/fs/cgroup/sophos.slice
rmdir /sys/fs/cgroup/cpuacct/sophos.slice
rmdir /sys/fs/cgroup/cpu/sophos.slice
rmdir /sys/fs/cgroup/memory/sophos.slice
