Servers

External servers authenticate users who are attempting to access the firewall and associated services.

Use these settings to define servers and manage access to them.

To import Active Directory user groups, click Import Import button..

Users from external directory servers only start appearing on Authentication > Users when they next sign in to any service, for example, the user portal or VPN portal.

Note

When users with administrator roles authenticate with the firewall from an external directory server for the first time, they're created as standard users. You must then manually assign administrator roles to these users.

However, when using Microsoft Entra ID, users with administrator roles can be created automatically.
