With web categories, you can organize and classify domains and keywords in a container. You can use categories within policies to control access to websites.

Within a category, you can create a list of domains and keywords that are specific to your organization or import a database. These include country-specific block lists and open-source categorization lists. The firewall checks for updates every two hours.

For web pages categorized as highly objectionable criminal activity, XG Firewall acts as follows:

• Always blocks these web pages. It won't implement any policy or exclusion that allows these pages.
• Hides the domain name in logs and reports.
