Advanced security settings

You can inspect only untrusted content or all content in the traffic.

To configure the settings, do as follows:

  1. Go to Active threat response > Sophos X-Ops threat feeds.

  2. Scroll down to Advanced security settings and select one of the following options:

    • Inspect untrusted content: Only inspects traffic related to untrusted sources and destinations.

      This setting gives the best performance.

    • Inspect all content: Inspects all traffic, including trusted and untrusted sources and destinations.

      This setting gives the best security but may impact performance.

  3. Click Apply.

Note

The difference in performance between Inspect untrusted content and Inspect all content is minimal. However, it can be significant in high-traffic environments.
