Restore to wireless models

You can restore backups taken from XG desktop or Gen.1 XGS wireless desktop models to XG desktop or Gen.1 XGS wireless desktop models without restrictions.

You can restore backups taken from XG desktop or Gen.1 XGS wireless desktop models to Gen.2 XGS wireless desktop models with the following restrictions:

  • You can't have any SSIDs with a Security mode earlier than WPA2 assigned to LocalWifi0 or LocalWiFi1.
  • You can't have any SSIDs with Encryption set to TKIP or TKIP/AES assigned to LocalWifi0 or LocalWiFi1.
  • You can't use any wireless interface in a physical bridge.
  • You can't have more than eight unique SSIDs assigned to LocalWifi0 and LocalWiFi1.
  • If LocalWiFi0 and LocalWiFi1 are set to the same frequency band, the firewall only restores the LocalWiFi0 settings.
