Add network traffic quota policy

To add a network traffic quota policy, do as follows:

  1. Go to Profiles > Network traffic quota and click Add.
  2. Enter a name.
  3. Add a description.
  4. Specify the restrictions for data transfer.

    Option Description
Total network traffic Quota for total data transfer
Individual network traffic (Upload & download) Individual quotas for upload and download
  5. Specify a cycle type.

    Cycle Description
Cyclic Quota for each cycle. Any unused quota doesn't accumulate and the quota is reset for each cycle.
Non-cyclic Quota for a single cycle period.
  6. Based on the restriction and cycle type select the cycle period, traffic quota for the cycle, and maximum traffic quota.

    Note

If you want to specify a maximum traffic quota, clear the check box. The maximum quota must be higher than the cycle quota.

    Note

When the cycle or maximum traffic quota is used up, the firewall disconnects the user. To reconnect the user, you need to reset user accounting.

  7. Click Save.

For the network traffic quota policy to take effect, add it to a user or group.
