Data management

You can select the duration for which reports must be retained. The firewall automatically purges older reports.

  • You can only retain reports for a maximum of one year. To optimize the firewall's disk usage, we recommend choosing a duration that meets your organization's requirements.

  • The selected duration counts backward from the previous month. For example, if you select three months in November, you can access reports dating back to August.

    Tip

    Check your compliance requirements before you change the report retention period.

  • Log retention report period: Specifies how long reports are retained in the firewall. Changes to the settings come into effect at 00:00.

    Note

    The duration you specify applies only to reports. It doesn't apply to logs.

  • Export customization: Allows selection of reports and number of records per report while exporting reports.
