Application Control Skiplist

Hosts and networks listed in this box will not be monitored by application control and can therefore neither be controlled by application control nor by the application selector of Quality of Service. This applies both to source and destination hosts and networks.

Sub-application Detection

Starting with UTM 9.600, traffic from a single application can be distinguished into substreams, for example, Facebook traffic can be categorized into “Facebook Video”, “Facebook Messenger”, and so on. This allows you to apply more granular policies to application traffic.

Note – With new installations of UTM 9.600, sub-application detection will be enabled. As traffic is detected differently with sub-application detection enabled, when updating to UTM9.600, you have to enable sub-application detection manually and check your policies apply correctly.
