Backup and restore

You can back up your switch's settings to a .cfg file and restore them using an HTTPS or TFTP connection.

Backup configuration

To backup the switch configuration, do as follows:

  1. Select Backup from the drop-down menu.

  2. Select the method you want to use from the drop-down menu.

    • HTTPS: Download the backup to your device using the browser.
    • TFTP: Enter the IP address of the TFTP Server where you want to send the backup file.

  3. Click Apply.

  4. Click Apply to back up the configuration.

    The switch configuration is backed up as a .cfg file.

Restore configuration

To restore a configuration, do as follows:

  1. Select Restore from the drop-down menu.

  2. Select the method you want to use from the drop-down menu.

    • HTTPS: Upload the configuration from your local device. Click Select file, choose the .cfg file, and click OK.
    • TFTP: Enter the IP address of the TFTP server and the name of the backup file you want to restore.

  3. Click Apply.

  4. Click Apply to restore the configuration.
