Dual image

Some Sophos Switch models have two partitions, each with its own version of the switch firmware. One partition contains the active firmware, and the other contains the backup firmware. The Dual image tab lets you select which partition is set as active after the next restart. The switch starts from the active partition, and if the active partition is corrupt, the system automatically starts from the backup partition.

The following models support dual firmware images:

  • CS110-24
  • CS110-24FP
  • CS110-48
  • CS110-48P
  • CS110-48FP
  • CS210-8FP
  • CS210-48FP
  • CS1010-8FP

You can see the following details on the Dual image tab:

  • Active: Selects the active partition. Click Apply to save your changes.
  • Flash partition: Shows the number of the partition.
  • Status: Shows whether the partition is set to Active or Backup.
  • Image name: Shows the version number of the firmware image.
  • Image size(Byte): Shows the image file size in bytes.
  • Created time: Shows the time the image was created.
