Trunking
Port trunking allows you to create a single, higher-speed link by assigning physical links to one logical link. The port bundles multiple connections and uses the combined bandwidth like a single connection.
Warning
You must turn on trunk mode before adding a port to a trunk group.
To turn on trunking, do as follows:
- Go to Configure > Link aggregation > Trunking
- Click Edit next to the port group you want to configure.
-
Select the Mode from the drop-down list. The following options are available:
- LACP: Link aggregation is configured dynamically for specified trunk groups.
- Static: Link aggregation is configured manually for specified trunk groups.
- Disabled: Turn off the link aggregation groups.
-
Click Member ports. A ports diagram opens, where you can click the ports you want to add.
- Click the tick mark to save the group.
- Click Apply.
