Any configuration changes made locally on the switch won't be synchronized with Sophos Central. We recommend making changes from the Sophos Central control panel instead.

Trunking

Port trunking allows you to create a single, higher-speed link by assigning physical links to one logical link. The port bundles multiple connections and uses the combined bandwidth like a single connection.

Warning

You must turn on trunk mode before adding a port to a trunk group.

To turn on trunking, do as follows:

  1. Go to Configure > Link aggregation > Trunking
  2. Click Edit next to the port group you want to configure.
  3. Select the Mode from the drop-down list. The following options are available:

    • LACP: Link aggregation is configured dynamically for specified trunk groups.
    • Static: Link aggregation is configured manually for specified trunk groups.
    • Disabled: Turn off the link aggregation groups.
  4. Click Member ports. A ports diagram opens, where you can click the ports you want to add.

  5. Click the tick mark to save the group.
  6. Click Apply.
