Any configuration changes made locally on the switch won't be synchronized with Sophos Central. We recommend making changes from the Sophos Central control panel instead.

Group list

SNMP groups help you control network access by organizing your SNMP users and assigning them different management rights depending on their access needs. You can then add these groups to access lists to further fine-tune access to SNMP devices in your network.

The Group list tab shows the name and security information for all SNMP groups on the switch.

To configure an SNMP group, do as follows:

  1. Go to Configure > SNMP > Group list.
  2. Click Add.
  3. Enter the following information:

    • Group name: Enter the group name to which access control rules are applied. It must be from 1 to 30 characters and can't include ", \, %, &, ?, ', !, ;, |, +, or spaces.
    • Security mode: Select the SNMP version from the drop-down list.
    • Security name: Select a user from the drop-down list.

      Note

You can only select users with the necessary privilege for the Security mode chosen, or who aren't already in a group.

  4. Click Apply.

To edit a group, click Edit on the one whose settings you want to change.

To delete a group, click Delete on the one you want to remove.
