Any configuration changes made locally on the switch won't be synchronized with Sophos Central. We recommend making changes from the Sophos Central control panel instead.

How to configure CDP for individual ports

Cisco Discovery Protocol (CDP) helps facilitate network management by discovering hardware and protocol information about Cisco devices. You can configure CDP globally or for individual ports.

To configure CDP for individual ports, do as follows:

  1. Go to Configure > Port settings > CDP > Port.

    CDP Ports tab.

  2. Select the ports you want to configure.

    Select ports.

  3. Click Edit.

    Click Edit.

  4. Select Turned on for CDP state.

    Turn on or turn off CDP.

  5. Select Turned on for Notify voice VLAN mismatch if you want the switch to generate a syslog message when the incoming voice VLAN information doesn't match what the local device is advertising.

    Turn on or turn off Notify voice VLAN mismatch.

  6. Select Turned on for Notify VLAN mismatch if you want the switch to generate a syslog message when the incoming VLAN information doesn't match what the local device is advertising.

    Turn on or turn off Notify VLAN mismatch.

  7. Select Turned on for Notify duplex mismatch if you want the switch to generate a syslog message when the incoming duplex information doesn't match what the local device is advertising.

    Turn on or turn off Notify duplex mismatch.

  8. Click Apply.

    Click Apply.
