Management interface

Sophos Switch features an embedded web interface for monitoring and managing your device. This interface allows you to manage all of your switch's settings.

Warning

Any local configuration changes on the switch won't be synchronized with Sophos Central. We recommend making changes in Sophos Central instead. See Switches.

Default values

The default values for the management interface are as follows:

  • IP Address: 172.16.16.239
  • Username: admin
  • Password: The sticker on the back panel of the switch shows the default password.

Password change

When you first connect to the management interface, you're prompted to change the password. The new password must meet the following requirements:

  • Minimum 10 characters
  • Maximum 32 characters
  • At least one letter and number
  • One of the following special characters: @ ~ % * # + - =
