IGMP Snooping

IGMP snooping is the process of listening to Internet Group Management Protocol (IGMP) network traffic. The feature allows the access point to listen to the IGMP conversation between hosts and routers. By listening to these conversations, the access point maintains a map of which links need which IP multicast streams.

To turn on IGMP snooping, do as follows:

  1. Go to Network settings > IGMP snooping.
  2. Click Enable.
  3. Scroll to the top of the page and click Apply.
