LAN-side IP address

LAN-side IP address allows you to configure your access point on your LAN. You can configure the access point to dynamically receive an IP address from your DHCP server, specify a static IP address for your access point, configure DNS servers, and configure the access point as a DHCP server.

LAN-side IP address

You can configure the access point as a DHCP client and use a DHCP server to configure the LAN-side IP address or manually enter a static IP address.

To configure the access point's LAN-side information automatically from a DHCP server, do as follows:

  1. Go to Network Settings > LAN-side IP address
  2. Select DHCP client from the IP address assignment drop-down menu.
  3. Under Default gateway, select one of the following:

    • From DHCP: The access point gets its default gateway configuration from the DHCP server.
    • User-defined: Enter a default gateway manually.
  4. Under LAN-side DNS servers, select one of the following

    • From DHCP: The access point gets its primary and secondary DNS server configuration from the DHCP server.
    • User-defined: Enter the DNS servers manually.
  5. Scroll to the top of the page and click Apply.

To configure the LAN-side settings manually, do as follows:

  1. Go to Network Settings > LAN-side IP address
  2. Select Static IP address from the IP address assignment drop-down menu.
  3. Enter the IP address, Subnet mask, and Default gateway.
  4. Under LAN-side DNS servers, select one of the following

    • From DHCP: The access point gets its primary and secondary DNS server configuration from the DHCP server.
    • User-defined: Enter the DNS servers manually.
  5. Scroll to the top of the page and click Apply.
