VLAN

VLAN is a local area network which maps workstations virtually instead of physically and allows you to group together or isolate devices from each other.

Bridge VLAN

You can turn bridge VLAN on or off using the Enable Bridge VLAN drop-down menu. You have to turn this on if you want to define tagged and untagged VLANs. If you turn Enable Bridge VLAN off, the access point only processes unttagged traffic.

You can change the management VLAN. Enter a value for the management VLAN in the Management VLAN ID field. Must be between 1-4095. Default is VLAN 1.

VLAN Setting Table

The VLAN setting table lets you configure the VLAN settings for the LAN ports. You can configure multiple VLAN settings for each LAN port.

To add a setting, do as follows:

  1. Go to Network Settings > VLAN > VLAN Setting Table.
  2. Click Add.
  3. Select Tagged, Untagged, or Exclude from the drop-down menu for LAN 1.
  4. Select Tagged, Untagged, or Exclude from the drop-down menu for LAN 2 (AP6 840E only).
  5. Enter a VLAN ID. Must be between 1-4095.
  6. Enter a description to help you identify the VLAN.
  7. Scroll to the top of the page and click Apply.

To delete a VLAN setting, select the VLAN you want to delete and click Delete.

Wireless VLAN ID

Wireless VLAND ID lets you configure the VLAN settings for the 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz frequency bands.
