Basic settings

You can turn the 6 GHz wireless band on and off and configure its basic settings, such as SSID, band, and channel. The settings you can configure are as follows:

  • Wireless: Turn the access point's 6 GHz wireless radio on or off.
  • Band: Select the wireless standard used for the access point.
  • Enable SSID number: Select how many SSIDs to enable for the 6 GHz frequency from the drop down menu, up to a maximum of 16.
  • SSID#: Enter the SSID name and VLAN ID for the specified SSID. The SSID can be a combination of up to 32 letters and numbers.
  • Auto channel: Turn automatic channel selection on or off. You can configure the following settings for auto channel selection:

    • Auto channel interval: Select a time interval for how often the auto channel setting will check the wireless channel settings.

    Note

    If you select Change channel even if clients are connected, your devices may disconnect whenever the auto channel settings change.

  • Channel Bandwidth: Select the channel bandwidth from the following:

    • 20 MHz: Lower performance but less interference.
    • Auto 40/20 MHz: Automatically select based on interference level.
    • Auto 80/40/20 MHz: Automatically select based on interference level.
    • Auto 160/80/40/20 MHz: Automatically select based on interference level.
